Blue Dolphin Locksmith founder William "Bill" Thompson is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer who holds a Associates in Business Administration. He started his first locksmith business Whaling City Locksmith (New London, Conn.) in 1984.

After buying a home in Venice in 1990 he relocated his business to the area in 1997 and renamed it Blue Dolphin Locksmith. Bill lives on the island of Venice with his wife a retired Sarasota County teacher.

Marc Thompson is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and holds a Associates in Computer Animation. After working as a Graphic Designer for years he joined the family business in 2000, expanding the service area into the North Sarasota & Manatee Counties. Marc lives in Venice with his wife and two sons.

Brent Thompson, a U.S. Air Force Veteran joined his father and brother in the family business after serving with the 6th Security Forces Squadron Phoenix Ravens stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. Brent took over the North Port area and expanded into Charlotte County. He lives in North Port with his wife and two children.
